The Boone County Quilters, EHC are holding their annual quilting workshop on Thursdays from 9a – 12n February 2nd through March 9th at the First United Methodist Church, 1100 Bower Street in Harrison. Each week will feature different demonstrations & vendors. 

 

The Material Girls Sewciety quilters have planned a Jelly Roll Race to benefit Hospice of the Hills on March 9, 2017, during the workshop.   A Jelly Roll is made up of 1,600 inches of different harmonizing fabrics, cut in equal widths but various lengths.  Quilters will ‘race’  to sew the cut lengths together, as quickly as you can to create a quilt top which will be donated to the Hospice House.  Participation is free!  NORTHCOTT FABRIC has provided patriotic themed jelly rolls to honor our veteran men and women; all you will need to bring is your sewing machine & thread!  A $250.00 NORTHCOTT fabric bundle, an Accuquilt Go Cutting System and a $235.00 NORTHCOTT fabric bundle will be raffled after the race!
