We Honor Veterans

We Honor Veterans is a program focused on respectful inquiry, compassionate listening, and grateful acknowledgement for all military veterans who receive care in this facility.  The program gives each veteran an opportunity to talk about his/her military service and be assured that his/her service is truly appreciated. The Hospice staff will use a quilt with a patriotic theme to provide veterans with comfort and warmth during their stay.

The Night-N-Gales EHC quilting guild has been a continual contributor to the program. Pictured above from L to R: Ang Pereira, LCSW - Hospice of the Hills, Faye Carter, Anne Brisco, Susan Jennings, Pamela Watkins,  The group partners with the Extension Homemakers Club of Boone County, and meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Harrison.  Other members of the quilt guild are Jane Clark, Janell Busch, Ruth Peters, Susan Jennings, Pat Alge, and Connie Trublood. Anyone interested in joining the guild may contact Anne Briscoe at 870-420-3573.
